Nissan Motors is planning to spread its wings in the Indian auto market after the huge success of its small car Nissan Micra. In order to execute the planning, the company has recently announced to launch 9 cars in India by 2012, meanwhile it has also targeted to open more dealerships, a total of 100 outlets, by 2013. Among 9 upcoming cars, there would be a multi purpose vehicle (MPV) called Nissan NV200. The Nissan NV200 has been awarded the 'International Van of the year 2010'. The MPV is reported to be produced with the help of Ashok Leyland-commercial and defense vehicle manufacturer. The MPV will have to compete with the likes of Toyota Innova, Mahindra Xylo and some upcoming vehicles like Maruti R III, Tata Aria etc. Mercedes Benz is also preparing to launch its MPV in India very soon that would be Mercedes Benz R Class.
